Safety Instructions
What should you pay attention to?
BIKEJACK bike covers are made from high-quality materials, are water-repellent and very durable. With careful handling, you will enjoy them for a long time.
Please note the following tips and instructions
🚗 Speed
Bike racks have a maximum speed indicated, which should not be exceeded. Air resistance increases with speed, and exceeding the permissible speed could put too much force on the BIKEJACK bike cover.
Always adjust your speed to road conditions, wind speed, and the load being carried. If possible, drive at a lower speed (-20 km/h) than permitted for your bike rack (see your bike rack's manual).
🔍 Check before each journey
Before each journey, check your bikes mounted on the bike rack to ensure that the cover and bikes are correctly installed.
⚠️ Sharp objects
Be aware of any sharp objects on the bike rack and bikes. Sharp objects can damage the BIKEJACK bike cover.
Make sure to cushion and/or additionally secure all sharp edges and points (quick releases, brake levers, handlebars, etc.) so that the BIKEJACK bike cover lasts longer.
🚲 Pedal covers
Use pedal covers to prevent damage to the bike cover or the bike.
🔓 Zippers
The zippers of the bike cover should not rest against the bike frame.
🛡️ Protect from mechanical impacts
Protect your BIKEJACK bike cover from mechanical impacts from other hard or sharp objects.
📐 Observe dimensions
Pay attention to the dimensions of the bikes on the rack, as low branches, bridges, and parking garages could otherwise endanger the load.
🎒 Only on rear racks
Use BIKEJACK bike covers only on rear bike racks to avoid air resistance. Only rear bike racks where the bikes are securely attached in an upright position (vertical) can be used.
🔒 Secure hold
Any load affects the vehicle's handling. Never drive with open or unsecured locks, buttons, or carriers.
🛣️ Avoid gravel roads
Avoid gravel roads and rough terrain. Larger stones can damage not only the cover but also your bikes.
📋 Local laws
Observe local laws. Additional license plates and/or taillights may be required. More information on warning panels for Italy and Spain can be found under Details.
⚖️ Load capacity
Do not exceed the permissible load capacity.
🔧 Remove when not in use
Remove the BIKEJACK bike cover from the bikes when not in use, or before driving into a car wash.
🔥 Keep away from hot exhaust pipes
Be sure to keep the BIKEJACK bike cover away from hot exhaust pipes.
🎯 Intended use
Do not use your bike cover for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
⚠️ Failure to observe these guidelines can lead to damage to the product, your car, the bikes, and the bike rack!
